Passioned for current design progression intending to realize thoughtful, sustainable design. Experienced in different design areas thanks to an open mind and dedication to the field. Looking for the essence of the form redefining the point of view in each piece.
Early Life & Education
Born in 1992 in Berlin, I had the privilege of spending my early years in Latin America (Colombia, Ibagué) until the age of eight. I later completed my elementary and secondary education at the Spanish-speaking European School in Berlin, with a one-year high school experience in Texas, USA. After graduating from the Marcel Breuer School in Berlin with a degree as a product design assistant, I pursued a bachelor’s degree in Integrated Product Design at the University of Applied Sciences Coburg, Bavaria, which I completed in 2018.
As part of my education, I studied the module “Introduction to Marketing” at Manchester College and completed a six-month internship at Shakes Bkk design studio in Bangkok, Thailand. I also successfully participated in the Design Thinking program at the Hasso Plattner Institute, developed in collaboration with Stanford University’s renowned d.school.
Professional Experience in Product Design
Alongside these formative experiences, I worked for Vojd Studios as a designer, combining innovative 3D-printing technologies with traditional craftsmanship to explore new possibilities in luxury fashion. In this role, I developed concepts and designs for leading fashion houses including KENZO, Acne Studios, Moncler, and Burberry.
Following this experimental approach, I joined New Swedish Design as Project Manager for Product Development. Building on the strong foundation of IKEA products, we reimagined everyday furniture through thoughtful functionality and refined design. I developed high-quality additions and interior solutions for classics such as the KALLAX, aiming to create affordable, durable products that enhance daily life.
Transition to Architecture
As an extension of my qualitative “toolbox,” I began studying architecture at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences and Technology in October 2020. I hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Architecture, having completed my Master’s in April 2026 with distinction. My academic focus has centered on sustainable construction, particularly innovative façade systems and the use of rapidly renewable materials such as wood and adobe.
Academic Achievements
With a background in product design, I developed a strong understanding of architecture across scales—from carefully crafted details to complex spatial concepts. I enthusiastically applied this skill set in collaborative student projects, several of which were honored with the „Best off“ award at the BHT annual exhibition.
Professional Experience in Architecture
Since February 2021, I have worked as a student trainee at Bauatelier Garbers, where I contributed to two design proposals that were very well received by the client, the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district office in Berlin. One of these projects, the expansion of Halensee Elementary School, received construction approval in late 2023. After site preparation, construction began in spring 2024 and is currently ongoing. The project includes the addition of a second emergency exit, inclusive design features, an elevator, and new restroom facilities.
In November 2024, I joined kadawittfeldarchitektur, initially working in site supervision. There, I contributed to the coordination and quality assurance of construction processes, including schedule, cost, and execution control.
Since September 2025, I have been part of the competition team at kadawittfeldarchitektur, supporting a wide range of project phases—from feasibility studies and conceptual development to model making, façade design, and layout development. This work has allowed me to engage deeply with the strategic, creative, and collaborative aspects of architectural design.
From May 2026 onward, I will continue my work at kadawittfeldarchitektur as a full-time architectural designer in the competition team.
Outlook
My interdisciplinary background in product design and architecture has sharpened both my practical expertise and conceptual thinking. I am particularly interested in creating architecture that integrates sustainability, material intelligence, and social relevance—spaces that reveal and strengthen the cultural, ecological, and human fabric of the environments we inhabit.
